Magnificent Ships: Volume 2 continues the success of Magnificent Ships: Volume 1, allowing you to view mighty ships of the past and present sailing the waves.
What is Magnificent Ships: Volume 2?
Do you love historic naval vessels, from the HMS Victory to the Titanic, through to modern warships and pleasure boats? Then Magnificent Ships: Volume 2 delivers an immersive VR experience, allowing you to get up close and personal to famous ships. You can view them at their best, plying the waves, perhaps followed by a pod of dolphins. Or you can pick up these enormous vessels and turn them over in your hands like a detailed model ship. The difference is, these 3D models include interactive elements such as jet fighters landing on a carrier deck.
What do a I do?
There aren’t missions here, or much else to do. The joy of the game comes from the VR experience of viewing, handling and exploring models of the ships. There is some compromise here, with ship models losing details and graphics quality, so it might not impress those who put graphics first. It does however run on a variety of differently powered systems, with adjustable settings, which is great in this kind of VR app.
